Same thing here in Montreal. But the winner was my 13 y old son, but the prize would be transferred to my husband and I. She (JEN) had all our info: telephone, address...Not sure from which number she was calling from.Maybe 1 877 338 0070

I got the same call from a man. I tried to talk in the middle of his little speech and he continued to talk over me. I said I did not enter anything and he said yes you did now who will you be taking. I asked a bunch of questions and he kept asking who I would be taking I finally said a name and he insisted we had to get him on the phone or conference call him. When I said no he said you both need to hear your wonderful vacation package. I hung up. The same guy called back like 8 hours later like he had not talked to me, same speech and everything and I know it was the same voice again I told him to stop calling and he went on with his speech. Said I see you have a visa card in good standing and I said no I have no visa so he began to go through the list of potential credit cards that he could supposedly see that I have in good standing! They cannot actually see your credit card information they are only guessing and this is how they get people! They can retrieve your address from a phone number or maybe something you've filled out online. When you fill anything out online it always has those little boxes at the bottom asking if they can share your information with other 3rd party companies and this is how they can get ahold of your infor.
I told him to remove me and hung up.
Th very next morning a woman called! By this time I was NOT impressed. I was very short with her and tried to cut her off but she wouldn't stop her dam speech! These people are very persistant and very annoying! I wanted them to stop. I told her I did not enter and that she was a useless human being who needed a real job and she continued trying to convince me. I told her to give away my trip to some other retard that would accept it and she talked to me like I was an idiot for giving away "my free trip". I told them not to call anymore and give it away and they stopped calling. So I only got three calls. What a joke! How can they get away with this! The interenet is hurting so many people! When will these people be shut down!

I recieved the same call tonight. Telling me I won a free trip to Disneyworld the girl went on and on about all these great things. Wanted to get my husband on the phone. So she could tell us both about it at the same time, odd. I played along with it until she told me it was wonderful that I could have this great trip all for $287. At which point I hung up. Called from 226-777-0105

They phoned me not too long ago -- free Florida vacation, Bahamas cruise, blah blah. Then pressing me for my credit card details, which I would not give, and I eventually hung up. I am in the UK, where are they calling from?? And how did they get so many of my personal details? Is there any way to report these people?

I just received a call from "RCI" saying I'd won a trip to Florida (Disney) and the Bahamas. They called from (647)930-9734, which apparently is a Toronto number, I am in Nova Scotia. When I call the number back they answer "notifications department". The guy knew my birthdate and email address. He couldn't tell me when I had signed up for the contest or what website I did it through. He kept saying something about my email address was given to them by the email provider. He wouldn't tell me anything about the trip until I would put my husband on the phone, I'm assuming because I no longer have a valid VISA. We shall see if they call back!

So good to hear that its a scam. I knew better and just hung up as well. This evening I just got the exact same phone call. The number was 1-289-804-1078. She said her name was Stacey. She even had an operator number (6632). she tried to sell me on the same story that me and my boyfriend had won a trip to Orlando and all the above, but we had to pay some amount of money. I know better than that. I would never enter a "free" contest if i had to end up paying in the end. Scam for sure. I even asked her who she worked for and what the name of the site was that i apparently entered the contest with. She said she wasnt authorized to tell me, just that it was a promotion through hotmail. Too bad. My bf was upset that i hung up in case the contest was real but at least this site proved i was right. so i guess i won in way :)
