FlipKey just released a new infographic that illustrates the average costs for reserving rooms and rental homes in Disney World area. There are some interesting facts in here that might change the way you shop for room accommodations for your next trip to the Magic Kingdom.
Here a few of the key takeaways in my opinion…
– The average price of a room night stays consistently around $125 all year long. This holds true even during the off-seasons and peak times. Keep in mind this is an average for the greater Orlando area, so you might have to search deeper to find a $125 room night during events like Christmas and Spring Break.
– Spring break represents 3 of the 5 most popular weeks to visit Disney World. The other two occur the weeks before and after the 4th of July.
– 80% of Orlando visitors are looking for accommodations that cost between $50 and $149 per night, and 35% of stays last 6 or 7 days.
In the end, I think you’ll see that the majority of folks are searching for ways to make Disney World affordable for their family. And judging by the averages calculated by FlipKey, they are finding plenty of options outside of the on-site resort hotels.
